The bicycle is the ideal means of transport if you want to enjoy the surroundings and the beauty of nature, but the distances are simply too long to cover on foot. Switzerland has a many unique bike trails to offer – some lead through idyllic landscapes, other past historical landmarks, along lakes or through forests. But when you are out and about with children, certain things have to be taken into account – safety, diversity, lengths, difficulty, and so on.

Below is a list of different routes where cyclists big and small can jump into the lake, enjoy the view, experience nature, and visit animals.

Obersee Bike Tour

Families pedal around Obersee, ride through the meadows of Oberseealp and stop for a swim at the Obersee outdoor pool.
