The Museum Neuthal on Textile and Industrial History in Bäretswil takes families on a journey into the past: when the historic spinning machines start rattling, inquisitive time travelers discover how a bale of cotton becomes a fabric. In the process, they also learn about an important aspect of Swiss industrial and textile history.

Those who opt for a guided tour through the 19th century spinning mill not only experience the technology of yarn production at first hand, but also learn a lot about textiles and the further processing of the yarn. In addition to the spinning machines, the oldest of which is 150 years old, the museum also maintains historic weaving and embroidery machines, making for an exciting detour into the realm of textiles.
