The largest lido on Lake Greifen has plenty to keep families busy all day. Keen swimmers can clock up laps in the 50m pool, while kids play in the non-swimmer pool and toddlers splash in their own paddling area. All of the pools are heated using solar energy. Those ready to head farther out can swim to the floating pontoons and 5m diving tower or explore the lake on a rental SUP.
Between swims, families spread out across the spacious lawn beneath mature trees. Kids head for the playground, challenge each other to table tennis or play a round of beach volleyball. And when hunger strikes, the Strandbad Restaurant serves stone-baked pizzas, classic lido fare and homemade gelato.
Tip: Come winter, “Sauna am See” brings barrel saunas and yurts to the lido. In the restaurant’s heated tent, families gather over raclette, fondue and hearty soups.
