Sleeping under the stars
A wooden platform as a bedroom, a mat as a bed and the starry sky as a roof – make your night on the Weissenberge a special experience.
- Sleeping under the stars
- Includes breakfast at Edelwyss Mountain Inn
- View of the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona
- Good starting point for hikes
The Walser settlement of Weissenberge clings like a swallow’s nest to a southern slope above Matt, the second most remote village in the Sernftal valley. You don’t come here by chance. The mountain idyll can only be reached by cable car or on foot. Once at the top, the wooden houses and huts are scattered across the landscape, surrounded by mountains as far as the eye can see.
A night under the stars here is an unforgettable experience reserved for only a few. A specially constructed wooden platform offers a magnificent view. Make yourself comfortable on the mat provided, watch the night fall over the UNESCO World Heritage Site Tectonic Arena Sardona and then snuggle up in your sleeping bag while the stars twinkle above your head.
The next morning, enjoy a breakfast of regional delicacies in the Edelwyss Mountain Inn restaurant before exploring the area and its numerous hiking trails on foot.
Practical: Sleeping bags can be obtained from the Edelwyss mountain restaurant. We recommend bringing your own silk sleeping bag and a power bank. There is a public toilet and drinking water around 100 m away. All the circular trails in the central area are suitable for baby carriages. There are numerous fireplaces.
