Switzerland in a cornfield? In Schübelbach, that unlikely idea becomes a surprisingly clever family adventure. Once the sweet corn has grown tall enough, the Wiget family transforms two hectares of fields at Matthof into a maze of winding paths, dead ends and stations devoted to Switzerland’s 26 cantons.

Armed with a “Mini Schwiz passport”, families make their way from one stop to the next, collecting stamps, picking up fun facts about Switzerland and tracking down places such as the Rütli meadow, Lake Geneva and the Bernese Alps hidden among the corn. Still ready for more? The Outdoor Escape Game “Sagenjäger” follows the trail of Swiss myths and legends while Adventure Golf puts everyone’s aim to the test.

After the maze, kids can burn off any leftover energy on the nature playground, with swings, slides and plenty of space to play. When hunger hits, the Mais-Beiz serves up corn-based dishes alongside easy family favorites, with a local twist – think crispy Lake Zurich fish and fries made from potatoes grown in the Schwyz region.
