Giants live in the Glarus region! Really big ones like the giant giant Sardona, and somewhat less huge ones, like the giant Martin. Martin is a friendly giant and takes adventurous visitors on a journey of discovery in his “Giant’s Forest” (Riesenwald) above Elm.

At 17 adventure stations, the intrepid get to know Martin’s home. They race against each other, try out giant instruments such as Martin’s lithophone or climb around on the giant hammock – which looks like a suspension bridge to the uninitiated. Along the way, they learn exciting facts about the Tectonic Arena Sardona and experience nature in the mountains. The circular trail, which is suitable for strollers, starts and ends at the Ämpächli restaurant. It leads through forest and across fields and offers plenty of opportunities for (barbecue) breaks.
