Short trail, big questions: The Füchslipfad on Rotenflue combines puzzles, nature discoveries and a touch of adventure for families with children aged five and up.

Just below the mountain station, the Füchslipfad winds its way between rocks and trees. Over roots, narrow paths and small stair sections, families follow the clever fox on Rotenflue to eight puzzle stations. How fast does a bog grow? Which animals live here? With three difficulty levels, kids, parents and grandparents can solve puzzles together while discovering fascinating facts about local plants and wildlife, alpine farming and the Mythen region.

The 500-meter loop takes around 30 minutes and is suitable for children from age five. Strollers are best left at the mountain station, as the trail leads over uneven ground and natural terrain. In return, families can enjoy shady forest sections, impressive rock formations and plenty of surprises along the way. At the end, all little detectives under twelve can look forward to a small reward.
