When the string is drawn, everything goes quiet. A breath, eyes on the target, release – and the arrow cuts cleanly through the air. On the archery course, families step into the world of archery and quickly feel how focus and movement come together. After a short introduction to intuitive shooting, kids and adults take aim at their first 2D and 3D targets – cans, balls and even mock milk bottles – and soon develop a feel for stance, tension and control.

Rain or shine, the Rock’n’Bow event hall in Eglisau sets the scene with its 50s diner vibe, jukebox and popcorn machine. On sunny days, sessions move outdoors to Lindenhof in Buchberg, where a rustic “Besenbeiz” tavern is open from Friday to Sunday. In Eglisau, snacks, drinks and hot dogs are provided.
