What did the city of Zurich look like hundreds of years ago? Where and how did dinosaurs live? How heavy was a knight’s armor? What was it like for our great-grandparents to ride a tram? How did Switzerland begin and where does the money we now use every day come from?

At selected museums across the Kinderregion, families experience history with all their senses. Interactive exhibits, detailed models and original artifacts bring the past to life. Kids can explore the early days of Switzerland, discover prehistoric animals and people, step into the world of knights and learn the basics of the Swiss economy. Along the way, they quickly see that history isn’t dusty or dull — it’s full of stories that are still fascinating today.
