Wooden Sculptures Trail

Solve riddles, discover wooden sculptures, roam the nature and spend a beautiful day outside – that’s the adventure trail in Niederurnentäli.

Morgenholz
  • Distance: 5 km
  • Duration: approx. 1.5 hours
  • 40 wooden sculptures
  • Riddle along the trail
  • Fire pits and picknick places
  • Mettmen playground
  • Arrival via gondola lift
  • Not suitable for strollers

Over 40 hand-carved wood figures line the adventure trail in Glarnerland. To make it even more fun, kids and adults can go on the lookout for the hidden letters that together give the clue to the answer. Marked wooden figures explain how you can find the letters and what riddles must be solved. Kids who find the correct answer get a reward at the end of the hike at the valley station. The trail starts and ends at the Morgenholz mountain station and leads along well-marked, partly uneven natural paths. As the first section is a bit steep, it can be a challenging for very short legs. But the effort is worth it: Along the way you can look forward to beautiful discoveries, games and wooden sculptures.

There is a spacious playground after the turn in Mettmen, as well as a log cabin where families can have a picnic at the fire pit and drink from the fountain.
