Nature is full of treasures – and this theme trail reveals some of them. For once, it’s not about the action, but about the little miracles along the way. The search for ten wooden mushrooms takes families from the village of Steinerberg into the heart of the countryside. Cows, sheep and donkeys graze on lush pastures, wildflowers bloom, birds chirp in the woods and streams gurgle.
The views of Mt. Mythen, Mt. Rigi, Wildspitz and Lake Lauerzer are magnificent, and the little surprise at each stop is an extra treat: QR codes provide information about the local birdlife offered by the Sempach Ornithological or enrich the moment with a song. Simple wooden figures and a wheel of fortune invite children to play.
If grilled sausages are your thing, there is a barbecue area with a playground next to the school. For those who prefer to be cooked for, there are two restaurants to choose from, and you can pass the time with the puzzle book or by writing a message to the trail creators. All letters will be answered.
