Kurtheater Baden
The renowned Kurtheater in Baden offers a wide range of performances from both Switzerland and abroad.
Each year, the Kurtheater Baden hosts around 50 guest performances by renowned institutions. The program focuses on spoken-word theater but the venue also offers performances from the fields of dance, music and puppet theater – as well as plays for children and young people. The Kurtheater is regularly used as a stage for concerts, cabaret and comedy by other organizers too.
Baden has a long-standing tradition in theater. The first theater in Switzerland was built in 1675 and some 200 years later, the first Kurtheater was built in the park. The current Kurtheater building dates back to the 50s.
