Step through the door and the kids are already at play. They build towers, dive into crafts, balance on wooden wobble boards and make a beeline for slides and climbing structures – indoors or outdoors, depending on the center. At five of the six Elch family centers, a family café sits right in the middle of it all, serving coffee, cake and snacks. While the kids stay busy, parents settle in, meet new people and take a breather. That’s how these cafés grow into true neighborhood hubs for young families.
Each location brings its own character. On Regensbergstrasse, a secondhand shop opens on Saturdays, while other centers rent out rooms for birthday parties and family gatherings. Creative workshops, seasonal events and group outings add rhythm to the year. And when parents need a short break, childcare is available from six months of age, sometimes even in the evening and without advance booking.
