- Kids’ paddling pool
- Playground with sandpit and climbing frame
- Table tennis and volleyball courts
- 18-hole mini golf course next door
- Children’s birthday parties
- Fully accessible
Like a fairytale castle, “The Dolder Grand” is a familiar turreted sight on the shoulders of Adlisberg above Zurich. Slightly down the wooded slope from here, and a five-minute walk from the station of the Dolderbahn furnicular, the historic “Dolder Bad” is an outdoor lido open to the public. Spreading across leafy parkland, it includes a shimmering blue 50-meter swimming pool (with a separate wave area) and a shaded kids zone with a shallow pool and a play area with a sandpit, climbing frames and swings. You’ll also find facilities for activities like table tennis, volleyball and yoga, with an additional wide open sunbathing lawn, where it’s easy to seek shade.
When hunger calls, choose from vending machines and the self-service restaurant next to the kids’ area – here, you’ll find kid-friendly lido classics like chips and ice cream alongside momos and plant-based options. And if the family still has energy to spare after the lido, there’s always the 18-hole mini golf course next door before hopping on the Dolderbahn back into the city.
