High above Malbun, getting the kids to hike is easy as the mountains become a giant puzzle trail. After the chairlift ride up to Sareis at 2,000 metres above sea level, families set off to follow clues, solve riddles and uncover the secret treasure code. The roughly five-kilometre Detective Trail leads through Liechtenstein’s alpine landscape, with sweeping views, the popular Swing Trail featuring ten outdoor swings and a series of puzzle stations along the way. Little and big detectives work together to decode clues, think creatively and get one step closer to the treasure chest with every challenge solved. The route mostly leads downhill back to Malbun, making it a great choice for younger children too. Those who crack the right code can open the treasure chest at the Malbun Center and take home a small instant prize.
