Oskar Reinhart (1885-1965) comes from a wealthy Winterthur family. In the course of his life he assembled an impressive collection of European art dating from the 13th to the 20th century.

Young visitors discover the collection as art detectives equipped with the museum suitcase, which contains a coloring book, riddles and puzzles, as well as artist’s utensils. When roaming the museum, they carefully examine the displayed art and discover plenty of secrets. The goal is to find the hidden signs and uncover the code word – successful art detectives will be rewarded with a little prize at the ticket desk.

Or how about a little picnic in the park? In the warm months, visitors can order picnic baskets from Wednesday to Sunday and have a great time in the beautiful museum park.
