Bike Trail Kloten to Aarau

The leg from Kloten to Aarau starts near Switzerland’s largest airport, where the impressive birds take off for their journeys to faraway places. When the yearning for faraway places turns into twitching legs, cyclists big and small set off in the direction of Katzensee lake, where you will find a low and a high moor in close proximity – which, in addition to fun swimming in the lake, offers exciting observations of breeding birds and lots of other small animals.

Through the Furttal you soon reach the Limmat. The journey along the river leads to the historic town of Baden. From the spa town you cycle on, past Switzerland’s Bike Trail Wasserschlosstour and the Königsfelden monastery to Brugg and further on past castles and sandbanks to Aarau.
