Toboggan Ride from Rotenflue to Rätigs

Route
The two Mythen mountains and the foothills of the Alps provide a spectacular backdrop – first for the gondola ride to Rotenflue and then for the toboggan run down to the gondola’s middle station Rätigs. Steep and winding passages make for fast-paced tobogganing fun, but also render the route challenging.

Toboggan Hire
Toboggans are for hire for CHF 10, helmets for CHF 5, and brake pads for CHF 10.

Catering Facilities Nearby
On the Rotenflue, hungry tobogganers fortify themselves in the Gipfelstübli restaurant at the gondola’s mountain station before a (renewed) daring descent. The cuisine is seasonal and regional, the view fantastic.

Special Remarks
At the Rätigs middle station, the gondola can only be boarded travelling uphill. The return journey is therefore via the Rotenflue mountain station.
