If you stroll along Bahnhofstrasse during the Advent period, sooner or later you will come across the Christmas market at Werdmühleplatz. This cozy little oasis just off the bustling Bahnhofstrasse has long held a special place in the hearts of Zurich locals.
One good reason for this is its unique attraction – the Singing Christmas Tree. On a towering, lovingly decorated stage in the shape of a Christmas tree, numerous children’s and adult choirs from the region spread Christmas cheer with their repertoire of Christmas carols. Younger visitors can also enjoy a ride on the children’s carousel, with all proceeds going towards children’s projects. Singing along adds to the festive atmosphere.
