Sleeping at Wydhof

The wind whistles through gnarled fruit trees. A cow moos. The trampoline rattles in the playground. Children splash around in the swimming pool. Otherwise, it is wonderfully quiet on the Wydhof, a dairy farm in Flaach between Eglisau and Schaffhausen. Those who stay here are immersed in an alternative world to everyday urban life. Nature and agriculture set the pace. Guests can explore the surrounding area or relax on the farm. From the barbecue area, the view extends far over pastures and fields. The guest house in the former cattle shed now has a communal room with kitchen and 30 beds spread across various shared rooms. End an eventful day here on the straw or in the dormitory before starting a new day with a breakfast featuring the farm’s own produce.

Good to know: For camping enthusiasts, there is a pitch for camper vans and tents behind a small shed and right next to the playground. Showers and toilets are located in the new barn.
