Ski area
The Rotenflue cable car is your quick escape from everyday life. At the foot of the Mythen, the view sweeps over the valley to Lake Lucerne and the Rigi as well as to the Glarus and Uri Alps. The impressive panorama is a constant companion on the varied hikes in the area.

Winter walk
The perfect route for beginners is the easy Rotenflue circular trail, which is also suitable for families. After just ten minutes, you pass the first mountain restaurant. It is worth stopping for a break. The view from the sun terrace of Alte Berggasthaus Rotenfluh is truly spectacular. Later, too, the vistas keep on coming – with so much to look at, for once you won’t mind, if the kids want to stop along the way to make snow angels or watch the paraglider jump.

Good to know
The last section of the trail back to the Rotenflue station is steep – the extra effort is a good excuse for a final stop at the restaurant at the station.
