Moor Trail Reussspitz

“Ship ahoy” – Villettepark, Cham’s local recreation area on the shores of Lake Zug, is a magnet for families. The huge playground with pirate ship and wooden train offers lots of fun for children of all ages. And you should make the most of it. After all, this trip is about the journey as much as the destination. Once playtime is over, follow the river Lorze inland to Frauenthal Monastery.

There, treat yourself to a homemade snack in the monastery store. You will need the extra energy to explore the enchanting moors of the Reussspitz that are the highlight of this walk. Rare plants and birds can be found in the area where the Lorze and Reuss rivers meet. Look out for whinchats, red-backed shrikes and field warblers.
