Just outside Baar, near the old spinning mill at the forest’s edge, families can experience the woods from a whole new perspective. The canopy walk on the Loop Bridge Schlaufensteg winds through the treetops for 350 meters, linking “Buebegunte” with the “Vogelwinkel” lookout platform. A climb of 265 steps leads up to 22 meters above the ground, where several viewing decks offer a bird’s-eye view of the forest canopy.
One of the biggest highlights for kids is the marble run built into the tower. With the help of a small lift, the marbles travel back to the top and can be sent racing down again and again. While children explore the walkways and treetops, adults can soak up the peaceful atmosphere and forest views. If you’re not ready to head home, continue with a walk along the Lorze River or visit the nearby Höllgrotten Caves in Baar.
