On the Kerenzerberg in the easternmost tip of the canton of Glarus, children learn that life is as much about the journey as it is about the destination. Llamas set the pace here – and it is wonderfully slow, so that humans and animals can not only hike together, but also enjoy nature to the full.

Three different routes are offered on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the year. Starting from René Angst’s farm, they take between 1.5 and 7 hours through the idyllic mountain world high above Lake Walen. Along the way, participants can stop for a grilled sausage, a fondue or a meal in a restaurant. The program can be tailored to the needs of the participants – for a children’s birthday party, for example.
