Zürich, Dreiwiesen
- Arguably the most beautiful ice rink in the city
- Legendary ice discos
- Bavarian curling
- Indoor curling hall (reservation required)
Built in 1930 and covering an area of over 6,000m 2 (64,500 sq. ft), the Dolder open-air ice rink is one of the largest of its kind in Europe. Every year, it enthralls many families, young people and couples, who show off their skills on the ice.
The ice rink, which is situated next to The Dolder Grand hotel, overlooking the city, nestles in a beautiful winter landscape. From the city, the Dolderbahn train goes up the hill, through the forest and out into a tiny, icy cosmos – with a beautiful ice rink for ice-skating, Bavarian curling, curling, snow sculptures, and occasionally even an ice disco. An unparalleled experience for one and all.
