At the foot of Uetliberg, the distinctive towers of Gasthaus Albisgütli rise above the treetops. For generations, this historic restaurant has been a Zurich institution and a favorite destination for families and nature lovers alike.
Children can assemble their meal from a dedicated menu. While the kitchen prepares their order, they stay entertained with coloring and puzzle sheets or explore the indoor playroom, where toy boxes, books and stuffed animals invite imaginative play. On sunny days, the activity shifts outdoors to the spacious garden terrace and playground. Climbing frames, balancing ropes, a slide, playhouse, and wooden donkey encourage exploration, while the “Lebensturm” offers insights into local biodiversity. When the coffee cups are empty, many families end their visit with a game of pétanque.
