Tacos from Mexico, arepas from Colombia, ceviche from Peru: At Casi Casa on Zurich’s Europaallee, families can eat their way across Latin America . The restaurant’s open, playful space makes everyone feel welcome. Little diners have their own menu, with treats like plantain chips, corn ribs and empanadas to try. For dessert, there’s churros with chocolate sauce or warm dulce de leche lava cake. Once they’ve finished eating, kids can rock dolls in their cradles, play foosball, fill in giant coloring sheets browse the book boxes indoors or explore the restaurant.
On weekends, the Latin American brunch brings pancakes with dulce de leche and huevos rancheros to the table – fried eggs served on corn tortillas with beans, tomato salsa and guacamole. On the first and last Sunday of every month, families can swap their seats for the dance floor. From 4 to 6 p.m., a free kids’ disco gets everyone moving to Latin American rhythms.
