Around every bend a new story and a fresh view: the WalserSagenWeg in Triesenberg is where alpine beauty meets age-old legends. This 12-kilometer themed trail winds through a cultural landscape shaped by the Walser people back in the 13th century, stretching from Triesenberg to Masescha and on to Gaflei. As you walk, you’ll encounter hand-carved figures of mythical creatures and animals, historic farmhouses, flower-filled meadows, and stunning mountain vistas. The trail brings the magical world of Walser legends to life – with Wildmännli (wild men), ghosts, and even a fire-red billy goat crafted from wood popping up at various storytelling stations.
The route can be hiked in three stages, and some sections are stroller-friendly. Along the way, you’ll find barbecue areas, playgrounds, cozy restaurants – and three stamp stations. Collect all three stamps, and you’ll earn a little reward at the local tourism office.
