Locations include the monastery village of Einsiedeln, the rose town of Rapperswil, and the former industrial district of Zurich-West.
An app delivers initial clues directly to the smartphone; further information is hidden in real locations along the route, such as on a work of art in a gallery or between lines of graffiti.
