Rotenflue Circular Trail

The panoramic circular trail, which is accessible all year round, starts and ends at the Gipfelstubli restaurant. Yet the adventure already begins at the Rotenflue cable car, which takes families to the mountain station and opens views across the Schwyz valley basin to Lake Lucerne.

The Rotenflue circular trail ist ideal for short hikes with children. Families can choose between the shorter circular route, which can be completed in 40 minutes, or the slightly longer 2.3-kilometre route. There are well-maintained fireplaces and rest areas along the way. And if you look really closely, you might even spot a domestic animal in Switzerland’s oldest hunting ground.
