Rigi Panoramic Trail

Route Description
The route starts at Arth-Goldau train station, from where the Rigibahn takes you to Rigi Wölfertschen-First. This is the departure point of the hiking trail, with breathtaking panoramic views accompanying you all along the way. The path leads alongside the railway line of the former Scheideggbahn, which is easily recognizable from the old railway bridge, the short tunnel and the disused carriage that can be encountered amidst the natural surroundings. The stunningly scenic route leads across the slope and partly through shady forests.

Particularly Recommended
You should be sure to plan for a short excursion to the Rigi-Kulm end station to admire the spectacular 360° panorama from the top of the mountain.

Catering Facilities En Route
There are plenty of pleasant spots and BBQ sites along the way at which to take a break.  At all times you are treated to magnificent far-reaching views. For those who would like enjoy a meal in comfort, there are also various mountain restaurants to choose from.
