NONAM – Nordamerika Native Museum

An atmospheric exhibition dedicated to the native people of North America in Zurich’s Seefeld district.

  • History of the native people of North America
  • Insight into the diversity of the Indigenous Nations
  • Impressive exhibits

The cultures of North America’s native people are just as diverse as their home continent. The North America Native Museum transports visitors from the southwest of the USA across the prairies and forests to the Arctic.

The NONAM features artistic objects and everyday items used by these natives, from the typical feather jewelry seen in westerns to Inuit kayaks. Special exhibitions also document the modern-day lifestyle of the indigenous inhabitants of North America.

The “Sounding Museum” – which was recognized by the Swiss UNESCO Commission as a contribution to the International Year for the Rapprochement of Cultures – will amaze you when you realize how much you can see and discover with your ears.
