  • Start: Fronalpstock summit
  • End: Stoos Seeli with BBQ and picnic areas
  • Route: 4.4 km
  • Duration: 2 hours
  • Difficulty: medium

Families wander over hill and dale, along beautiful alpine meadows and discover interesting facts about the people and their life in the Alps, their traditions and rituals. A wooden ball accompanies them to the nine stations and invites them to play: from balancing acts on the “Sun Island” to the ball runs to beautiful picnic areas with breathtaking views. But that’s not all, surprising elements that tell a story are placed along the way – what do the milk churns mean? Or what clue is hidden behind the bell’s riddle (Glockenrätsel)?

The approximately two-hour hike leads from Fronalpstock, where families enjoy a bite at the summit restaurant and let off steam on the playground, down to Frontal to the beautiful little lake Stoos down in the village. At Alp Laui, families can shorten the trail by walking to the middle station and taking the chair lift back to Stoos. The Fronalp Trail is not accessible by stroller.
