Lake Zurich Cruises

A boat trip on Lake Zurich is an experience in itself but can also serve as an unforgettable way to travel to one of the region’s many attractions.

  • Travel to local attractions by boat
  • Various round trips from Zurich and Rapperswil
  • Free choice of stations
  • Single journeys possible
  • Special experience boats
  • Some trips free with the Zürich Card

Whether it’s a quick excursion or a longer cruise, on the boat children have the opportunity to move around freely, explore the boat, and discover the region from the perspective of the water

For the long cruise starting in Zurich, the boat departs every hour from Bürkliplatz, and with a bit of luck, an impressive old paddle steamer is on its way. The cruise takes almost two hours and is perfect in combination with a stop at the island of Ufenau or a visit to Knies Children’s Zoo.

The shorter cruise passes many highlights that are all worth disembarking for. Every half hour, the boat travels along the left-hand lakefront to Kilchberg, the home of Lindt Home of Chocolate, and onward to Thalwil, where it crosses the lake to Herrliberg. It then steers towards the city along the right lakefront, where numerous bathing facilities invite a stop-off, such as Strandbad Küsnacht, which offers a playground and a long sandy beach.
