If kids were to imagine the perfect winter destination, it would look like Braunwald. High above the Linthal, sun-kissed chalets peek out behind fir trees. Distances are short and there are no long queues. Kids play in designated children’s areas and ski first runs on beginner’s slopes; advanced skiers explore the more challenging terrain.
In addition to 30 kilometres of pistes, there is a 3 km long toboggan run, scenic winter hiking trails, horse-drawn carriage rides, cross-country trails, an indoor playground and numerous restaurants to stop along the way. If you can’t fit it all into a day, simply stay overnight. A popular family hotel is the Märchenhotel, where the floors are connected not only by stairs but also slides. Here, you can explore the fairy-tale tree (realised in collaboration with Europe Park) and listen to fairytales
