Anyone with a little Duracell bunny at home knows the drill: Kids seem to run on an unlimited power source. On the family-friendly cross-country skiing trails in the Kinderregion, they can finally put that energy to good use – gliding on skinny skis through quiet winter landscapes loop after loop until their legs finally really tire. Along the way, simple challenges keep things playful: spotting animal tracks, counting fir trees or trying to stay balanced on the next small decent.

Cafés along the trails and nearby mountain restaurants offer warm refreshments and a well-earned break. And for those, who are still not done by evening, selected routes remain open after dusk – just switch on your headlamp and power on.
