Travel Tips and Discounts

Guest Cards, Museum Passes and Public Transport Tickets

If you want to make the most of a family outing without breaking the budget, it’s worth getting a guest card or a combined ticket for museums and public transport. Often, these guest cards combine admission for regional attractions with free travel on public transport. Sometimes they even include discounts on shopping or meals.

Zürich Card

Free travel on all public transport, free or discounted admission to most museums, even discounts on shopping in selected stores and small culinary surprises at participating restaurants – the Zürich Card offers all this to budget-conscious city explorers.

Family Pass

All aboard! Explore the Children’s Region with the Schweizerische Südostbahn this summer. With the “Family Pass” for CHF 65 (2nd class, half-fare card), you benefit from two return journeys to exciting family destinations as well as various leisure discounts and goodies.

Because thanks to the free Cityticket, great experiences are also accompanied by great benefits: from free travel on local public transport to free admissions or discounts to small culinary delights. Children from the age of 6 benefit from these offers – and therefore does the whole family.

ZVV – Zurich Transport Network

With the 24h-ticket, guests can travel carefree for 24 hours on all means of public transport within the purchased zones. No matter where, with what and how often. You can also buy a card with multiple 24h-tickets. It comprises six 24h passes with freely selectable travel dates – and offers a discount of up to 10 percent compared to the 24h-ticket.

Tell Pass for Central Switzerland

The Tell Pass can be purchased for two to ten days and, in addition to various discounts, offers free travel by train, bus and boat as well as on numerous cable cars in Central Switzerland. Particularly attractive for families: children up to 6 years of age travel free of charge and children from 6 to 16 pay a fixed price of CHF 30.
