On the traces of Papa Moll
Two eventful days and a unique place to stay – a memorable mini vacation for the whole family.
Already at the check-in we are spoilt for choice: Do we want to stay in one of the beautiful and cozy Papa Moll family rooms or should we opt for the newly built sleeping barrels? For our daughter it’s a done deal, she wants to sleep in a barrel – a real highlight.
Travel the world playfully
After a yummy lunch at the hotel, we explore the Papa Moll miniature golf course. Under the slogan “Papa Moll Travels the World”, our journey brings us from the Leaning Tower of Pisa to the Great Wall of China and over the oceans to the Temple of Kukulcàn. Besides the 12 adventure golf courses, there are also 18 regular miniature golf courses. And those who want to spice things up, will certainly like the PitPat game! A mix of miniature golf and pool – Benji loves it.
Take a break from everyday life …… and enjoy the time as a family. True to this motto, we visit the famous Thermal bath Zurzach late in the afternoon. A mere five minutes away from our cozy sleeping barrel, we plunge into this wonderful and relaxing thermal spa with great amenities for the little ones. Like the Papa Moll water world lovingly decorated with all members of the Papa Moll family featuring a water slide and waterfall. Or – Bella’s highlight – the water stream swimming pool. We could stay there for hours. But there is so much more left to discover. In the 35° pool with massaging water jets and bubble loungers, we relax and enjoy the moment. Furthermore, there are a quiet pool, a swimming pool, a natural swimming pool as well as hot and cold pools.
My absolute favorite is the brine bath, weightlessly floating in the saltwater and relaxing to the vibrations of the under-water music. Ten wonderful minutes just for myself! In the meantime, Benji and Bella visit the two textile saunas. After a game of water ball, we go back to our room to get ready for dinner at the hotel.
Yummi yummi! Our dinner at VitalBoutique Hotel Zurzacherhof is fantastic! Those of you who know us, know that we love good food and appreciate a fine glass of wine. Pasta with truffles and beef tenderloin – what more could one want? Kids can choose their favorite dish from the children’s menu; even special wishes are no problem. Well-fed and with our hearts full of happy memories, we finish our beautiful first day in Bad Zurzach with a little night cap before falling into our super king-size bed. After a restful night, we enjoy a lovely breakfast and go to the thermal spa for another plunge. That is our little monkey’s wish – impossible to say no.
Following Tschips’ tracesAfter lunch, we have an important mission to accomplish. It would seem that Papa Moll is missing his dog. We absolutely have to help him find Tschips! You can buy the puzzle book for the Papa Moll scavenger hunt during office hours at the tourism office. It’s also the place where the search begins. However, I can’t disclose more. One thing that I can tell you is: It is great fun to solve the puzzles and follow Tschips’ traces. En passant, we explore the beautiful surroundings, learn interesting facts about the history of Bad Zurzach, discover amazing sights and have fun on the playground. The trail takes approximately 2.5 hours. And we are able to find Tschips! For that, Bella receives a great prize – all in all it’s a trail that is fun for adults and children.
